Office Orientation
Getting Started
Dr. Barry will discuss the best orthodontic treatment plan for you at your initial consultation. Before braces are placed, patients must first visit a dentist for an exam and have any necessary fillings completed. Patients should continue to visit the dentist every 6 months during orthodontic treatment for thorough examinations and teeth cleanings.
Convenient Appointments
Orthodontic appointments are scheduled to fit in with your busy lifestyle. Our professional staff makes every effort to accommodate each patient’s schedule. In order to help us continue to schedule efficiently, we require that you provide 24 to 48 hour notice to cancel an appointment.
Treatment Time
Treatment may last from 18 to 30 months, though this will vary depending on your individual orthodontic case. Appointments are typically scheduled 4 to 8 weeks apart. Your cooperation in keeping scheduled orthodontic appointments, maintaining proper oral hygiene and taking care of your braces allows you to finish your orthodontic treatment on time.
Communication
We encourage parent participation in the orthodontic process every step of the way. Dr. Barry welcomes any input that you have and is happy to discuss your child’s treatment at each appointment. If you are unable to attend your child’s orthodontic appointment, you may call the office and a knowledgeable staff member will discuss the patient’s progress with you. |
